The Loves had a great, and full, Independence Day. Andrew is the only one of the boys who even remotely understood what the day was about. Even he only knows that it was America's birthday. We sang "Happy Birthday" to America which he thought was silly. We kicked the weekend off on Friday night at Florence After Five. If you still haven't been, you definitely need to make plans to attend the next event on August 5th! It is a good time for the whole family! We started the day on Saturday by going to the Spirit of Florence at Timrod Park. There were lots of inflatables for Andrew and Henry to bounce on and a mini-golf course that Andrew played. From there we went to a cookout/pool party at our friends' house. (Thanks Chad and Silvia!) Andrew now has a huge crush on their daughter Samantha, who is about 10 years older than him! Andrew is still completely petrified of the big pool but had a blast in the hot tub. He likes small bodies of water where his feet hit the ground! Ed put a pair of swimmies on Henry and eventually just let him go and he kicked all over the big pool. He's definitely the one we're going to have to watch out for! Jacob even got his bathing suit on and splashed around with Mommy for a little while.
After we went home and had a little downtime, with naps for the younger two guys, we headed out to the RedWolves baseball game. This is another fantastic offering that Florence has. For any of you who haven't made it to a game, you should definitely check it out before the summer is over. The game ended with a bang (the fireworks show!) It was definitely a fantastic, but exhausting, day!
Since my office is closed tomorrow and Ed had a wide-open calendar, he is taking the day off and we are going to take Andrew and Henry to the beach for the day.
Jacob's big news of the day is that he is FINALLY getting his bottom two teeth in. I realize it isn't late for him to be teething but he has been gnawing and drooling for months it seems. Andrew and Henry were both pretty early teethers so I have been (impatiently) waiting for this day. They are all growing up so quickly but I have a hard time believing that Jacob is about to be 1/2 a year old!
